Priory Day Nursery
A purpose-designed nursery in the centre of Great Yarmouth
Priory Day Nursery is located in the centre of Great Yarmouth (between Sainsbury's and St Nicholas Church). It's open daily (Mon-Fri) from 8.30am to 5.30pm inclusive (except bank holidays and the Christmas period) and provides day care for up to 50 children, aged 2 to 5 years.
The nursery is housed in the classrooms of the former St Nicholas Priory School (now the Priory Centre), alongside the Priory Sure Start Children's Centre. It has 3 rooms: the Starfish and Seahorse Rooms are for 2-3 year olds and the Dolphin Room is for the 3-5 year olds, allowing practitioners to focus on the individual learning needs of the two different age groups (see Curriculum Ages - 2-3 Year Olds and 3-5 Year Olds). Each of the two areas feed into the garden at the back, with a large summer house.
In its latest Ofsted inspection (May 2017) the nursery received a 'Good' rating in all areas. The inspectors reported that:
“Management are ambitious for all children to enjoy learning in a stimulating, inclusive environment ..
Children are inquisitive to explore, experiment and learn .. they are well prepared for the next stage in their learning.”
Fees range from £11.55 for sessional care to £39.30 for full day care. Download our fees and sessional info sheet for more information.
