Outreach Service

Horatio House offers a range of outreach services that primary and secondary schools/academies can buy according to their needs.

Services include:

  • Counselling – schools can buy in counselling from our BACP registered counsellors
  • Behaviour Support Mentors – work with young people in school to support them most usually with behavioural difficulties
  • Attendance Support – work with parents and young people to improve their attendance
  • Gifted and Talented support – work with pupils usually on their school’s Gifted and Talented register

Scott

15/10/2014

Scott began on the Options East programme in September 2012. His school were worried about continuous incidents of disruption, refusal to follow instructions, rudeness and truanting lessons. Scott also had a history of not completing his work, which resulted from Scott walking out of lessons. Scott found English an ongoing challenge and would often refuse to engage in lessons. He displayed silly behaviour resulting in him spending time in the referral room at his school.
