Horatio House Independent School, Lound

Headteacher

Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £46,799 - £63,779

Horatio House is a new school operating in a challenging environment and with limited budgets but the Trust, as the proprietor, is committed to the future, passionate about the importance of successful education for pupils who do not easily fit mainstream and is aspirational for the school to become a recognised example of best practice and the best possible long term outcomes for each pupil.

This is an opportunity for a new Headteacher to shape the school over the next years. We recognise that it will require personal resilience and a passionate commitment to working with pupils who have been let down by the wider school system. An ability to think outside of the box is also important; as is an approach which draws in grant funding for specific projects for pupil activities or additional pastoral support. An ability to work alongside Norfolk County Council (our key stakeholder) is critical as is building partnerships with the local secondary schools and Multi-Academy Trusts.

We are seeking a qualified teacher at level 5 or above registered with the Teaching Regulation Agency who has experience in senior leadership and SEN in the maintained or independent sector.

Additionally we expect that applicants will be able to demonstrate they have, or are working towards, consistently secure practice in line with the DfE National Standards of Excellence for Headteachers (June 2015).
