New Project Management Training Courses at Nexus
(Article from EEEGR News Magazine, Feb 2018)
A new course has been launched at the Nexus Engineering Training Centre to coach project managers to tackle increasingly complex projects across the energy industry and deliver them on time to budget.
The first two cohorts of delegates completed their Association for Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification, delivered by 20|20 Business Insight.
Delegates were armed with knowledge of key areas, including the project lifecycle, scope, risk and change management, budgeting and cost control.
These were all delivered around a contextualised Energy case study to help the application of knowledge.
The course was held over six days at engineering training centre Nexus, on the doorstep of the industry on Beacon Park.
Phil Jefferies, Business Development Manager at 20|20 Business Insight, said it provided a broad level of project management knowledge to the delegates to give them confidence in delivering their projects.
The feedback was extremely positive, with delegates describing the course as "very clear and engaging", he said.
"It's fantastic to see the first cohorts completing their PMQ course.
"Projects delivered in the East of England are becoming increasingly complex and it is vital that the workforce is trained to ensure the projects are run consistently, and are delivered on time and to budget."
