Recruiting for .. the new Priory Pantry
A New Project Supported by Gregg's Great Yarmouth
Thanks to John, a member of the Priory's thriving Friendship Club, an exciting new project will soon be underway to give support to those struggling in the local community.
John, who wanted to find a way to secure some extra help for the club and his fellow members, approached his local Gregg's Store to see if they could support the Friendship Club with food donations.
Staff from John's local store immediately liked the sound of the project and put him in touch with Gregg's Head Office. The conversation was followed by a meeting between Gregg's Rita and Friendship Club Leader, Joleen, to discuss how the scheme could maximise benefits to both the club and its local community.
As a result Gregg's Great Yarmouth now provides an amazing selection of bakery items to the club five days a week, including slices, sausage rolls, scones and cake, plus a wide range of sandwiches, baguettes, rolls, pasta and salads.
Joleen will shortly be recruiting volunteers to help run the new 'Priory Pantry', which will make this freshly baked produce available to those needing support in the local community. Watch this space for further updates.
In the meantime, if you would like to volunteer with the Priory Pantry, either as a driver or helping to distribute from the Priory Centre, please contact Joleen, Volunteer Coordinator:
